Meindl

Meindl

There used to be real shoe manufacturing centres in Germany with hundreds of shoe factories. Today MEINDL is one of the few shoe factories that still really produce in Germany. In his factory in Kirchanschöring in Bavaria, more than 200 people are employed and make first-class shoes! The MEINDL employees continue a centuries-old tradition of craftsmanship, because MEINDL has been a shoemaker in Kirchanschöring for more than 300 years. Even though production today is carried out with modern equipment, there is a person at each machine who carries out one of the more than 200 work steps required to produce a high-quality trekking shoe. Of course, the company also employs master shoemakers, who literally "put their hands on". They also have the feeling, the experience and the commitment that a natural product such as the main material leather needs and implement their own quality system. Meindl has not abandoned craftsmanship quality in favour of the chance to enter the mass market.
