The small manufactory of Yeti is located in Görlitz, Saxony, on the banks of the Neisse River. For centuries, first-class cloths have been woven and tumbled here, most recently the "VEB Volltuch" dyed FDJ shirts and marble jeans here. Today eight Yeti employees produce about 10000 down sleeping bags per year, which are among the best in the world. It's a strange building, flooded with light and nested, in the 50s it was part of avant-garde architecture. From the Yeti managing director to the man from the sales department, everyone works door to door - which is usually open. This has two advantages: You can only stay here if you like your colleagues at least a little bit. And the quality of the production is visible to everyone. This is not only noticeable in the friendly working atmosphere among the employees but also in the quality of the high-quality down products.
