The Steba company was founded in 1919 in the centre of the city of Bamberg. Today, the third-generation family business is a market leader in the areas of raclettes, BBQ grills, contact grills and sous-vide cookers and is constantly expanding its know-how to be able to offer its customers innovative, appealing and demand-oriented products. The products are sold, among others, at Media Markt and Saturn, Expert, MediMax, Globus, EP, EK, Euronics, the mail order business, as well as in online retail. The company is also a supplier to the automotive industry and manufactures initial series and prototypes for the cars of the future on its modern machinery.
As early as 1950, Steba developed the first electric fan heater for household use, followed by the first electric rotisserie grill in 1956 and the first household cold-zone deep fryer in 1960.
In 1972, the company headquarters and production facilities were relocated to Strullendorf in the district of Bamberg.
Well-known companies in the small electrical industry still have their appliances developed and produced by Steba. With around 80 employees, Steba manufactures appliances "Made in Germany" such as contact grills, raclettes and grill ovens at its production site in Strullendorf.
Steba also sees the promotion of young people as a very special responsibility. Currently, 5% of the workforce is trained in the areas of toolmaking and office management and successfully integrated into everyday working life.
The company motto is: "Steba - Quality.Reliability. Competence."

Then as now, some items are produced by long-serving and quality-conscious employees in the company's own factory in Strullendorf near Bamberg and exported to more than 45 countries worldwide. Steba has thus developed into a leading company for electric grills, sous-vide cookers and raclettes and today also stands for high quality standards and service due to its "Made in Germany" production. This is how Steba became what it is today in 100 years of company history.
