The Swedish name "Skötbordspecialisten" means nothing other than "changing table specialists" and is thus directly part of the company's programme. The main product of the Swedish company bears the brand name "Robust" and this was not chosen in vain. The Robust was launched in 1981 and was the first wall-mounted changing table for the public environment in Sweden at that time. Probably even worldwide. Its principle was as simple as it was ingenious: it was an extremely robust and stable folding table that could be mounted directly on the wall and thus took up almost no space. However, when it was needed, it could simply be folded down and then immediately had a large, solid and comfortable changing table with which parents and babies could feel comfortable and safe.

Ingvar Persson, the founder of Skötbordspecialisten, came up with this idea of the foldable changing table in the late 1970s after he had to change his nappy on the floor during a visit to a petrol station.

Today, Robust has sold more than 30,000 units and is the market leader in Sweden in foldable changing tables for public environments. There is hardly a public toilet in Sweden where you don't find a Robust from Skötbordspecialisten. Be it at a service station, in a school or kindergarten, in the town hall or in a church community centre. But also outside Sweden, the Robust can now be found in most European countries. Today there are even retailers in Germany, Poland and other European countries as well as in Japan.
