Two friends. One beer. An idea.
There is a story behind every good product. And like so many, FLSK's story begins with a cool sip of beer between friends. It began in 2013, when Quentin gave his future co-founder Patrick a beer from an African thermos bottle. What was unusual was that the drink had already been in a thermos bottle for two days and still tasted cold, fresh and palatable. The two asked themselves the all-decisive question: Why isn't that actually available in Germany? In cooperation with the African manufacturer, the bottle was fundamentally redesigned. The FLSK was born.
Design meets function and sustainability
The FLSK team set out to produce an uncompromising vacuum flask. No more heavy, leaky, ugly and environmentally harmful drinking bottles. FLSK showed Germany and Europe that there is another way. With a drinking bottle that combines maximum insulation performance with sophisticated design and is still sustainable. The good thing about it is that, with the exception of a small area in the lid, it does not use any plastics or aluminium. As a result, the drink that you store in the bottle is not unnecessarily contaminated with toxins. Plastics cause the softeners to secrete into the water, which then enters the body.
There they have a hormonally active effect and are comparable to oestrogen. Artificially and in too high doses, however, this often leads to breast cancer in women and impotence and infertility in men. Aluminium, on the other hand, which can also be detected in water after some time, triggers allergies and leads to dementia. Both substances should therefore be avoided as far as possible in contact with food and drink. The FLSK thermos flask is a step in the right direction in any case.
