In the year 2000 the travelling musician Clemens Voigt got hold of a small viatnamese jew's harp called Dan Moi for the first time and immediately turned his head. Without further ado he flew to Vietnam to meet Jew's harp manufacturers and musicians. Back in Leipzig, Clemens founded a musical instrument shop and named it after his new darling - DAN MOI. In 2002 his friend and musician colleague Sven "RoXi" Otto joined DAN MOI and the DAN MOI - Clemens Voigt & Sven Otto GbR was founded. Over the years, the team of jew's harp and world music experts has grown steadily. Due to the intensive work on the Jew's harp, DAN MOI has developed into the largest Jew's harp specialist shop in the world in recent years. More than 300 different Jew's Harps from almost every continent as well as a large selection of Jew's Harp music and Jew's Harp accessories make up DAN MOI's impressive range. In addition, there is a large number of effect and percussion instruments, as well as flutes and selected musical instrumental delicacies to discover. DAN MOI works in close cooperation with the manufacturing families and has created around 20 jobs in Vietnam alone. Because of the positive influence DAN MOI has had in developing countries, the company has been accepted as a supplier by Fair Trade in Germany.
